Project Goal:  Explore the purpose of the Picture Frame as a boundary, the Two Dimensional plane and the Spatial Field. Explore the placement of pictorial elements and how they effect they overall impact of the Piece. Create and utilize images of 3-D objects by scanning them digitally. Create visually interesting examples of Symmetry Operations using the scanned objects, by stripping them of color and reintroducing them to a single color and applying a multiply effect to the image in InDesign.

Reflection: Mirroring the object along a single, or multiple, axis, creating an object that is exactly opposite from the original

Rotation: Spinning an object in a circular fashion, otherwise changing the orientation from its original placement

Translation: Moving an object to another location but otherwise leaving it identical, including size, shape, orientation, etc.

Glide Reflection: A transformation consisting of a translation combined with a reflection about a plane parallel to the direction of the translation.
